Things We Love – Bedtime Nursery Rhymes
This lovely collection of nursery rhymes is the creation of Jay Harris, an independent musician from London. I love his new, soothing twist on the most classic and familiar lullabys: Curly Locks; It’s Raining, It’s Pouring; Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Rock-a-Bye Baby, Kum Ba Yah; and Brahms’ Lullaby.
Each of the 6 tracks creates a soothing, almost magical effect and is designed to create a natural progression toward sleep. Try it, and not just for bedtime and naptime. If your kids are bouncing off the walls, put it on for a little quiet time.
Harris says the almost-meditative effect of listening to the music is best gained through setting your music player EQ on ‘Flat’ and by setting the first track at a reasonable volume. Each track gets gradually quieter.
